He avoids all contact with the other survivors, living on food parcels left by Carl and maintaining a state of mourning for his wife Lucille.

Negan finds another bat and briefly attempts to make Lucille 2.0, but he realizes that the bat was never anything but a poor substitute for his wife, and he throws it into a fire. That is his last act in the comics thus far. Negan has not been seen in quite awhile now in the comics.
