Is Walking Dead comic over?
When the television series premiered in October 2010, Image Comics announced The Walking Dead Weekly. Kirkman opted to end the comic on his own terms; he stated in his letter in issue #193 that part of the reason to end was that he feared he lacked material to continue the series for several more issues.
Are The Walking Dead comics good?
Very good. Much more violent than the series. The graphics are really good. And the series follows the comics to a certain degree but there are many differences and certain characters that were killed off seasons ago are still alive and well in the comics.

After the episode on Talking Dead, director Greg Nicotero and showrunner Scott Gimple discussed some of the thought process behind this choice. Gimple explained that because the episode was “backloaded” with so much important information, he and the director discussed making that background black and white.
